And Now For Some Bling

The penultimate day of reaching into the Royal Mail pouch - c'est domage! It was a small package today, but worth it:

Beads! Small red and gold and pink beads. Pretty blingy beads in little bags. They speak to this girl's blingy heart. Yes, yes they do.

I will now need to devise another method to add them to projects, since I don't have a crochet hook small enough to get through the holes. I am undeterred. Once again, thanks Tanya!

I thought I would take this opportunity to provide links to those blogs that took part (or will imminently be blogging about taking part) in The Blog Hub Swap - just in case you might want to join in on the week-long giftapalooza next time.

  1. So, does that mean you were the Grand Organizer??

I've caught a few posts on some of these blogs along the way... it's been fun reading the excitement. :-)

    1. No, I wasn't the Grand Organizer - that would be Kismet's Companion. :) Nevertheless, I thought it might be nice for readers to see other's swappy gifts and put all of it into some kind of context.

  2. Ooh, I didn't know you needed a small crochet hook sorry, I thought you just threaded them on to the yarn using a beading needle and pulled them up with your yarn when you were including one in a stitch. So much has been learnt from this swap! One more day left... :0)

    1. Well, a beading needle is another way to go about it! That's why I said no worries - I'll come up with Plan B. Since I've only used beads in crochet projects, the crochet hook method is all I've used thus far. :)

  3. I think you can use a beading needle or dental floss - I've definitely seen dental floss mentioned somewhere ;)

The beads are really pretty :)

And the beads are pretty - I agree.

  4. Hi Denise, if you look in the area where they sell floss, you will find a package of something called floss threaders, they are fine plastic loops used for threading floss between bridgework and they are wonderful for beading!
